Arkansas at Texas Tech

In week 3 the Arkansas Razorbacks (1-1 overall) travel to Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, Texas to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders (2-0 overall) Saturday.

Arkansas put it to Nicholls State last week 73-3. The Razorbacks were led by quarterbacks Brandon Allen who had 117 yards and 4 TDs while Austin Allen had 72 passing yards as they split time under center. In addition, Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins led the rushing game with 274 rushing yards and 4 TDs combined.

The Razorbacks defense allowed just 242 yards and only 3 points and had 1 interception.

Texas Tech won a close game last week against UTEP 30-26. The Red Raiders were led by quarterback Davis Webb who had 278 passing yards and 3 TDs. In addition, running back Justin Stockton led the team was 135 rushing yards and 1 TD on 8 carries. Wide receiver Jakeem Grant led the team was 150 receiving yards on 8 catches.

The Red Raiders defense gave up 393 yards and 26 points last week.

Keys to Arkansas win

Arkansas was great last week and look to continue playing that way this week. They will need Brandon Allen and Austin Allen to continue playing well. In addition, the Razorbacks will need Jonathan Williams and Alex Collins to continue running the ball well.

Keys to Texas Tech win

Texas Tech is going to need quarterback Davis Webb to play a good game and not turn the ball over. In addition, Justin Stockton will need to play the game at running back and help his quarterback out.

Conclusion

They will be a close game Saturday but Texas Tech should win. However, Texas Tech’s defense is going to have to figure out how to stop Arkansas’s offense.
