In week 5 the Colorado Buffaloes head to Memorial Stadium in Berkeley, California to face the California Golden Bears Saturday. The Buffaloes are 2-2 SU and ATS. The Golden Bears are 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS.

Colorado is coming off a win of 21-12 against Hawaii last week. Quarterback Sefo Liufau who has 1124 passing yards and 10 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Christian Powell leads the rushing game with 249 yards, 1 touchdown and a 5.1 yards per carry average. Nelson Spruce leads the wide receivers with 518 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Colorado’s defense has allowed 29.8 points per game and 371 yards per game through week 4.

California is coming off the close loss 49-45 against Arizona last week. Quarterback Jared Goff who has 890 passing yards and 10 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Daniel Lasco leads the rushing game with 239 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 6.5 yards per carry average. Darius Powe leads the wide receivers with 188 yards and 1 touchdown.

California’s defense through week 4 has allowed 29 points per game and 427 yards per game.

Keys to Colorado win

The Buffaloes will have to shut down quarterback Jared Goff. In the addition, they will need Christian Powell to play a great game.

Keys to California win

California will need to shut down quarterback Sefo Liufau and in order to do that they will need to take away his favorite target Nelson Spruce. In addition, they will need their offense to play their best game of the season.

This will be a good game. However, Jared Goff will have a great game for California and the Golden Bears will improve to 3-1 on the season.
