In week 5 the Iowa Hawkeyes head to Ross Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana to face the Purdue Boilermakers Saturday. The Hawkeyes are 3-1 SU and 1-3 ATS. The Boilermakers are 2-2 SU and 3-1 ATS.

The Iowa Hawkeyes are coming off 24-20 loss against Pittsburgh last week. Quarterback Jake Rudock who has 798 passing yards and 5 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Mark Wiseman leads the rushing game with 184 yards, 4 touchdowns and a 3.4 yards per carry average. Kevonte Martin-Manley leads the wide receivers with 158 yards on 21 receptions.

The Hawkeyes defense has been pretty good this year only allowing 19 points per game and 349 yards per game.

The Purdue Boilermakers are coming off a win of 35-13 against S Illinois last week. Quarterback Danny Etling who has 739 passing yards and 6 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Raheem Mostert leads the rushing game was 293 yards, 1 touchdown and a 4.4 yards per carry average. Danny Anthrop leads the wide receivers with 204 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Boilermakers defense allows 28.8 points per game and 379 yards per game.

Keys to Iowa win

Iowa will need their defense to shut down Danny Etling and in order to do that they will need to play tight coverage in the secondary to give enough time to the line to get to him.

Keys to Purdue win

Purdue will need to shut down Jake Rudock. In addition, Raheem Mostert will need to run the ball well and help out his quarterback in the backfield.

Conclusion

This will be a close game. However, the Hawkeyes will need their defense to play a strong game and they will also need Jake Rudock who is questionable for the game to play for them to win.
