Keys to Carolina win

Carolina will need QB Cam Newton to play a good game. However, he has sore ribs and will be a game time decision. In addition,  the Panthers defense needs to continue playing well and forcing turnovers.

Keys to Tampa Bay win

Tampa Bay will need former Bears starting QB Josh McCown to play a good game and not turn the ball over against a tough Bears defense.

Key Injuries

Frank Alexander, Edmund Kugbila

Tampa Bay

Bradley McDougald, Da’Quan Bowers, Louis Murphy, Rashaan Melvin, William Gholston, Charles Sims

Tampa Bay -3

Conclusion

Much of this game will depend upon the health of Cam Newton. If he does not play, the advantage goes to Tampa Bay. If he plays but is not effective, the advantage is also Tampa Bay’s. I like the Buccaneers in an upset.
