In week 5 the Memphis Tigers head to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi to face the 10th ranked Ole Miss Rebels Saturday. The Tigers are 2-1 SU and 3-0 ATS. The Rebels are 3-0 SU and ATS.

Memphis is coming off a win 36-17 against Middle Tennessee last week. Quarterback Paxton Lynch who has 766 passing yards and 5 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Doroland Dorceus leads the rushing game with 218 yards, 4 touchdowns and a 5.7 yards per carry average. Keiwone Malone leads the wide receivers with 201 yards on 15 receptions.

Memphis’s defense has been very good this season only allowing 19.7 points per game and 337 yards per game through week 4.

Ole Miss is coming off a win 56-15 against LA-Lafayette. Quarterback Bo Wallace who has 1023 passing yards and 9 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Jaylen Walton leads the rushing game with 121 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 6.4 yards per carry average. Cody Core leads the wide receivers with 236 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Ole Miss’s defense it has been outstanding only allowing 10.3 points per game and 296 yards per game through week 4.

Keys to Memphis win

Memphis will have to shut down quarterback Bo Wallace. In addition, Paxton Lynch will have to play his best game of the season.

Ole Miss will need to shut down Doroland Dorceus and the Ole Miss run game. In addition, Ole Miss will need Jaylen Walton to run the ball better than he has been.
