New Mexico State vs UTEP Preview

on

UTEP 2The New Mexico State Aggies are slated to take on the UTEP Miners in a game this Saturday in the Sun Bowl as both teams are seeking a victory, it would be the 3rd win on the season for the Aggies while the Miners are seeking their 2nd win on the year.

The New Mexico State squad came off a victory last week over the Georgia State Panthers by the narrow margin of 34-31 earning them their 2nd win on the year. The UTEP Miners are coming into this week looking to avenge their close loss at the hands of the Texas Tech Red Raiders by a close score of 30-26.

The New Mexico State Aggies are looking to win their 3rd straight game on the year as they try to push their record to 3-0. The Aggies are hoping to become a legitimate force within the Sun Belt Conference this year, and in order to do so they will have to perform very well on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball through out the remainder of the season.

The UTEP Miners are looking to bounce back from their loss last week at home. They lost their home opener last week to the Red Raiders, and in that loss, showed that they need to perform better offensively and defensively if they hope to remain competitive in the Conference USA, something that the Miners would love to accomplish this season.

This should be a relatively close matchup between the two teams and should be a relatively high scoring contest. The Miners will have an extra push this week, looking to avenge their loss at home from last week. That extra push gives the Miners the edge, they win 34-31.
