SPURS LEGENDS SHOW NO MERCY AGAINST GODMANCHESTER ROVERS VETS

The Spurs Legends were jubilant after inflicting a dose of nasty medicine during a thumping 9-3 victory against Godmanchester Rovers Vets on Sunday.
Garry Brooke's 25-yard free-kick into the top corner of the net was the pick of the nine as Spurs ran out 9-3 winners against their esteemed opponents. His free-kick made it 2-0 to Spurs after Trevor Wilkinson had opened the scoring.
Brooke, Mark Falco, Tony Galvin and Clive Wilson were amongst the former Spurs stars who played in the game.

It was 3-1 at half-time after Godmanchester struck back from 2-0 down. However, Wilkinson restored the two goal advantage.
Richard Thomas scored the fourth, Carl Brown the fifth and sixth and Brooke set-up Falco for the seventh.
Wilson was involved in the move for the ninth and final goal tucked away by Jez McMurraugh. With the bragging rights safely in the bag, Spurs were the cats that got the cream and the vets were licking their wounds.
