Obika was joined in the side by other youngsters who are currently on loan at other clubs. These included Troy Archibald-Henville (Exeter City), Jake Livermore (Derby County) and Steven Caulker and Ryan Mason (both Yeovil).
Michael Dawson was captain because Spurs are hoping to keep him fit throughout the international break.
Palace played a number of first teamers, which means that Spurs' comprehensive win was even more impressive.
Spurs dominated throughout and they got off to a good start when they took a first minute lead through Mason's excellent volley.
Obika scored his first goals in the 10th and 30th minutes and it was clear that it wasn't going to be Palace's day when Spurs keeper Ben Alnwick made a penalty save just after half-time.
Bostock scored on 64 minutes and Troy Archibald-Henville scored with a header from a corner on 71 minutes.
Obika completed his hat-trick on 77 minutes, as Harry Kane's perfect ball was converted. Ryan Fredericks's run allowed Obika to score his fourth, four minutes later.
Not even a Palace consolation goal from the penalty spot, towards the end of the game, could take the gloss off an impressive and encouraging victory for Spurs.
