Jamie O'Hara gave another strong showing for Portsmouth in their match against Manchester United at Fratton Park.
He forced a fine save out of United keeper Tomas Kuszczak when the tie was goalless. He also peppered the United box with crosses - one of which being headed over the bar by an unmarked Aruna Dindane.
United eventually went on to win the game comprehensively, 4-1.

Adel Taarabt hit the crossbar with a chipped effort for QPR as they drew 2-2 against Coventry City. He was substitued 10 minutes from the end of the match but he was a constant threat before he was replaced.
He started the game well, firing a shot across the face of goal after only three minutes. He also forced a strong save out of Keiren Westwood in the Sky Blues goal and was terrorising captain Stephen Wright down the left-wing. The Coventry man was sent off four minutes after Taarabt was substituted for a second bookable offence, after which he appeared to throw his armband at the referee. No doubt Taarabt contributed to Wright's frustration.
Kyle Walker played the full game for Sheffield United as they beat Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
Meanwhile, Jake Livermore came on towards the end of Derby's game against Reading at Pride Park. He was relegated to the bench and only featured in the last eight minutes for the Rams.
There was mixed news in the FA Cup second round for Spurs stars on loan.
John Bostock's corner was headed in by Leon Legge to score the only goal of the game for Brentford against Walsall. It was Legge's first ever senior goal. The Bees have been drawn against Doncaster Rovers at Griffin Park in the third round.
Exeter lost 4-3 to MK Dons and Troy Archibald-Henville played the final 24 minutes of the game. He set up the third Exter goal, which was scored by Adam Stansfield. This made it 3-1 to the Grecians but Paul Ince's men staged a remarkable late comback by scoring three goals in the final 20 minutes to win 4-3. Goalkeeper Oscar Jansson was an unused substitute.
Calum Butcher was also on the bench but was unused in Barnet's 2-2 draw against Accrington Stanley.
