Armstrong, Westerkamp(NEBRASKA) — Lincoln police said Tuesday they were investigating after a 20-year-old woman reported of a sexual assault at the residence of Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. and standout receiver Jordan Westerkamp.

Officer Katie Flood said the woman went to a Lincoln hospital Sunday afternoon and reported the assault. The 20-year-old woman told police she knows the suspect and said she was subjected to forced sexual intercourse at 5411 N. 11th St., Officer Katie Flood said.

The cop said no arrests have been made.

Head coach Mike Riley said he has pronounced with three players involved — quarterback Tommy Armstrong, receiver Jordan Westerkamp and tight end Trey Foster —  but he will wait until more information is revealed to determine what actions he will take.

“I’m like all of you — I’m interested in where we’re going and what’s going to be found,” the Nebraska’s coach told a mob of reporters. “I know the process is ongoing, and the right people are taking care of that.”

Since the report came out, the University of Nebraska Athletics made a statement which stated, “The University of Nebraska Athletics Department is aware of an allegation made over the weekend. We are currently cooperating with law enforcement officials and the University’s Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance. We will have no further comment at this time.”

Armstrong talked to an Omaha World-Herald reporter that he, Westerkamp and another roommate have spoken with police.

“After talking to us, (the police) said you guys should be fine,” He also said, “We had people over…. From what we’re hearing, everything was consensual.”

On Saturday, Nebraska played Rutgers in New Jersey, and Armstrong claimed he arrived at his house about 12:30 a.m. Sunday. In accordance with the police report, the alleged assault occurred Sunday between 2:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

He said to find out the guy’s who else was at the house during the time of the alleged assault. Whom the woman might have been with or whether she was at the house at all.
