EKOTTO THANKS REDKNAPP FOR HIS GUIDANCE
ComeOnSpurs.com, 26 Nov 2009
Cameroon and Spurs defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto has thanked Harry Redknapp for his role in his recent improvement.
Assou-Ekotto has been branded 'moody' by previous managers but since Redknapp took over at the Lane, the defender has been rewarded with a new contract and an international call-up.

The Press Association report he said: "There are a lot of factors involved, I had a long injury and then only played six months before that. It's about adapting to the game and now I'm more confident.
"Harry obviously believes in me, the other managers maybe didn't believe in me as much. They said I should be a happier person or smile more, or speak more English - but it doesn't matter because I can prove it on the pitch.
"That is what I'm doing at the moment by playing more and becoming a better player for Tottenham Hotspur."
Assou-Ekotto is now looking forward to playing for Cameroon in next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.
"Going to the World Cup feels excellent," he said. "We had to win in Morocco which we did and it's the first World Cup in Africa so it will be unforgettable.
"I'm very proud, all the family in Cameroon know they have a national player and I would rather play for a team that qualified like we did and not wait until the 116th minute to go through (like France)."
DAVspurs, November 26, 2009 at 10:50 pm I don\'t like calling Spurs players but Ekotto is not playing well both in defence and helping out in attack. He has been at fault for goals against Arsenal Bolton Stoke even the Wigan goal it was on his side and he was not even in the picture .The last good game he had is when he scored against Liverpool and that is because he scored .He has stopped going forward now as well and like Robbie he needs resting for a bit and Bale or Bassong should play.COYS
