ASTON VILLA v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
DEFOE: I'LL GET GOALS FOR CHRISTMAS
ComeOnSpurs.com, 27 Nov 2009
Jermain Defoe believes that Spurs can show that they "mean business" over the next month as they aim to cement their place in the top four.
Spurs are currently in fourth place in the League and travel to fifth placed Aston Villa tomorrow, in what many see as a battle of the pretenders.
Tottenham also have tests against Everton and Manchester City, two other sides who are hoping to break into the top four, but Defoe is hopeful that he can grab the goals to fire Spurs into the top four.

"Christmas this year for me is about getting more goals and staying in that top four," Defoe told Hotspur magazine.
"It's the busiest time and I always like this time of the year, especially if the team is doing well.
"All the lads are buzzing - we've had one or two indifferent results, but have picked up again and that has been really good to see.
"It helps when you've got the rest of the team scoring. Tom Huddlestone is in great form... I said to him the other day 'I bet you go to the World Cup', and we've got Jermaine Jenas doing some good stuff from midfield too.
"It's the most excited I've been and we can really show people we mean business over the course of the next month."
GorgeousGeorge, November 27, 2009 at 3:06 pm In what way are Everton aiming for the top four? Do you mean the top four of the championship or are you just a lazy ill informed hack? Andy Morgan - Editor, November 27, 2009 at 4:02 pm At the start of the season, that was Everton\'s aim and they have been decimated by injuries. Although they are still a long way behind, if they get their key players back, they could make a late surge.
