He said on Aston Villa's Official Website: "It's important we win. Tottenham had a great result last weekend, they must be full of confidence - but so are we.
"Our home record has been great. The performances have been good and we are really looking forward to the game.
"We can provide and with the forward players we have got here now, we have options.
"The win they had at the weekend was great. Not many teams in the Premier League can score nine goals. We will treat them with respect.
"We know they are trying to challenge the top four and they are serious contenders.
"As I say we will show them respect but we won't be changing our game. We have been in great form so far at home and we plan to continue in the same way.
"Both teams will be out to show what level they are at the moment and both are trying to crack the top four, which is very hard.
"But it is good now that more and more clubs are trying to break into the top four and we are going to try really, really hard to be one of them.
"I believe this season is going to be more exciting than ever. It is going to be a very hard game but we hope the fans will get behind us again so that we can get three points."
