Stewart Downing could make his home debut for Aston Villa as they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Villa Park.
The England winger has been sidelined for seven months with a broken foot sustained while playing for Middlesbrough before his summer move.
Downing came off the bench against Burnley last weekend and played 75 minutes for the reserves in midweek with no ill effects.

Central defender James Collins is facing a late fitness test on his groin injury.
If Collins is not passed fit, Carlos Cuellar will continue in his absence alongside Richard Dunne.
Tottenham are still missing captain Ledley King with a hamstring injury and Luka Modric with long term recovery from a fractured fibula. However Modric is training with the youth team trying to built his fitness back up after a long lay off.
Goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini (wrists and pelvis) faces a long period of recovery following surgery after being injured in a road accident earlier this month.
