A sustained attack in the second half bore fruit for Spurs as they came from a goal behind to secure a draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park yesterday.
Gabriel Agbonlahor eighth of the season had put Villa ahead in the tenth minute, but Spurs captain Michael Dawson fired home an equaliser in the 77th minute.
Spurs looked tired in the first half and Villa started the game at high tempo which did not suit the lacklustre Spurs side.

However Niko Krancjar was in fine form for spurs and forced a save from Brad Friedel in the opening exchanges.
But it did not take Villa long to take the lead, Carlos Cuellar's header was stopped by Benoit Assou-Ekotto but the ball was not cleared and Gabriel Agbonlahor pounced to slide the ball home.
Cuellar's defensive display was excellent, earning him the man of the match moniker, after he made important blocks from Peter Crouch and Krancjar who continued to test Friedel at any opportunity.
Dawson's volley could not be stopped though and Spurs fully deserved the equaliser after a dominant second half.
Villa's Nigel Reo-Coker limped off the pitch in the 71st minute to be replaced by Steve Sidwell.
Friedel made a string of excellent saves to secure a point for Villa as the home side were pegged back by an increasingly rampant Tottenham Hotspur side.

DAVspurs, November 29, 2009 at 10:28 pm This was a great point but its should have been three but brad Friedel at nearly forty was magnificent and Dawson should be playing every week and it should be Ledley that come on has a sub. What is wrong with Football every time a teams players play well the papers say a big club is after its players .In all the years of watching the game these last few have been the worse and now its barca and Madrid poaching there league is like Scotlands and the the big two win every thing and how ufa allow a government to fund transfers is beyond me .
