St. Louis Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

on

To start off week two of the regular season, the St. Louis Rams travel to Tampa to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium. Last week, the Rams kicked off the 2014 season with a game against the Minnesota Vikings and were soundly thrashed with a final score of 34-6. The Buccaneers played their first game of the regular season against the Carolina Panthers and were defeated 20-14. Both the Rams and the Buccaneers come into the game with 0-1 records.

The Rams come into the game looking to redeem themselves after a devastating loss last week. The offense struggled to find their rhythm and the defense left wide holes that were easy for the opposing receivers to exploit. If the Rams want to win against the Buccaneers, they cannot make the same mistakes they made in week one.

The Buccaneers’ defense showed in week one that they can be effective at stopping the opposing team. However, the offense has the tendency to make simple mistakes that end up costing them in yardage down the field. Buccaneers’ quarterback Josh McCown has to throw fast and accurately for his receivers to have a chance of scoring against the Rams.

Rams’ quarterback Sam Bradford is out for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL for a second time. Bradford’s backup Shaun Hill is questionable for the game against the Buccaneers after suffering a leg injury in last week’s game. Defensive end Chris Long will also miss the game on Sunday after injuring his ankle in week one.

Buccaneers’ left end Adrian Clayborn will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn bicep. Cornerback Mike Jenkins and right end Michael Johnson will also be sidelined on Sunday with injuries.

Latest Line – The Buccaneers are favored to win by 6.

This game is expected to be unpredictable as both teams may or may not make similar mistakes to the ones they made last week, but whichever team makes the least amount of mistakes on Sunday is the team that will come away with the win.
