Tennessee Titans vs Kansas City Chiefs preview

on

The Tennessee Titians and the Kansas City Chiefs meet at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday to open the regular season. Last week, both teams played their last preseason games and were defeated by their opponents. The Titians fell to the Minnesota Vikings with an end score of 19-3. The Chiefs were defeated by the Green Bay Packers 34-14. The Titans ended the preseason with a 2-2 record, while the Chiefs went 1-3.

The Titans have an impressive offensive line this year, headed by QB Jake Locker and containing some great players, including receivers Justin Hunter, Kendall Wright and Nate Washington; tight ends Taylor Thompson and Delanie Walker, and running backs Dexter McCluster and Bishop Sankey. However, their defense could use some work and needs to find a way to stop giving up so many yards to their opponents.

The preseason was a tough time for the Chiefs and exposed many of the weaknesses in their offensive and defensive lines. The inexperience in the offense is apparent and quarterback Alex Smith won’t have a chance if the rest of the offense doesn’t step up and get into the right positions to make plays. If the Chiefs can tighten up their offense and their defense does not allow a lot of pass plays, the Chiefs may have a chance at winning.

The Titans may be missing DT Mike Martin on Sunday, as he is questionable for the game due to a hamstring injury. QB Charlie Whitehurst, who injured his finger, and RB Jackie Battle, who injured his shoulder, are listed as probable for the season opener.

Chiefs RB De’Anthony Thomas is the only player listed as doubtful for the game, out with a hamstring injury. CB Marcus Cooper may be out, as he is still rehabbing an ankle injury, and C Eric Kush is listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury.

Latest Line – The Kansas City Chiefs are projected to win by 4.

The Chiefs will do well both offensively and defensively against the Titans and will ultimately pull out the win.
