UCLA vs Texas Preview

UCLA 1The UCLA Bruins, the number 12 ranked team in the country this week, are set to travel to AT&T Stadium in order to take on the Texas Longhorns in a game that both teams would love to win.

The UCLA Bruins were put to the test last week, only beating the Memphis Tigers by a score of 42-35, in a game that the Bruins were projected to win decisively. The Longhorns, who take the field across from the Bruins this Saturday, are coming off a major loss to the Brigham Young University Cougars, and are looking to rebound by beating one of the top teams in the country.

The Bruins are coming into this week looking to beat the Longhorns more convincingly than they beat the Tigers in an effort to help rebuild some of the reputation that they have loss as a result of the close victory over a team that the Bruins were heavily favored to beat. This was the 2nd straight game that the Bruins have played to a close victory, despite starting the season ranked in the top 10.

The Longhorns, on the other hand, are simply looking to bounce back from an extremely tough loss at the hands of the Cougars, and are coming into this week looking to emerge as legitimate contenders once again within the Big 12. If the Longhorns hope to beat the Bruins, they will need to put up a rather impressive performance on both sides of the ball.

The Longhorns are coming into this week with their eyes set toward a major upset over the Bruins as they hope to beat the the ranked team in order to enter the national conversation. That said, the Bruins will still come out on top 41-27.
