UNLV vs San Diego State Preview

In week 5 UNLV Rebels head to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California to face the San Diego State Aztecs Saturday. The Rebels are 1-3 SU and 0-4 ATS. The Aztecs are 1-2 SU and 2-1 ATS.

UNLV is coming off a loss 47-14 against Huston last week. Quarterback Blake Decker who has 883 passing yards and 4 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Keith Whitely leads the rushing game with 180 yards, 1 touchdown and a 5.1 yards per carry average. Devante Davis leads the wide receivers with 268 yards and 2 touchdowns.

UNLV’s defense is one of the worst in the country allowing 41.3 points per game and 566 yards per game through week 4.

San Diego State is coming off a loss 28-7 against Oregon State last week. Quarterback Quinn Kaehler who has 652 passing yards and 2 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Donnel Pumphrey leads the rushing game with 300 yards, 5 touchdowns and as 5.7 yards per carry average. Eric Judge leads the wide receivers with 160 yards and 1 touchdown.

The UNLV Rebels defense allowed 372 yards and 28 points last week against Oregon State.

UNLV will need to shut down running back Donnel Pumphrey. In addition, they will need Blake Decker to play a great game.
