In week 3 the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (0-2 overall) travel to Romney Stadium in Logan, Utah to face the Utah State Aggies (1-1 overall) Saturday.

Wake Forest beat Gardner-Webb 23-7 last week. The Demon Deacons were led by John Wolford who had 291 passing yards and 2 TDs. He also had 3 interceptions. Orville Reynolds led the rushing game with 54 yards on 17 carries. E.J. Scott led the receivers with 62 yards and 2 TDs on 4 receptions.

Wake Forest’s defense allowed only 131 yards and 7 points last week. In addition, they had 1 interception.

Utah State beat Idaho State 40-20 last week. The Aggies were led by quarterback Chuckie Keeton who had 116 passing yards and threw one pick. Chuckie Keeton also led the team in rushing yards with 74 yards. However, Joe Hill led the team in touches with 15 but only had 69 yards and 1 TD. JoJo Natson led the receivers with 59 yards on 6 receptions.

The Aggies defense allowed 408 yards and 20 points last week. In addition, they had 1 fumble recovery and 3 interceptions.

Keys to Wake Forest win

Wake Forest is going to need quarterback John Wolford to play good game and not turn the ball over. Orville Reynolds will need to run the ball better than last week. The Demon Deacons defense needs to continue their great play. However, they could use some more forced turnovers.

Keys to Utah State win

Utah State will need QB Chuckie Keeton to play a good game and not turnover the ball. The Aggies need Joe Hill to run the ball better this week and help Chuckie Keeton in the backfield.

Utah State should win Saturday. However, they will need Chuckie Keeton to continue passing the ball to open up the defensive line for Joe Hill.
