Western Michigan at Idaho

In week 3 the Western Michigan Broncos (0-1 overall) travel to Kibbie Dome Stadium in Moscow, Idaho to face the Idaho Vandals (0-1 overall) Saturday.

Western Michigan lost to Purdue 43-34 last week. The Broncos were led by Zach Terrell who had 243 passing yards and 2 TDs but he did throw an interception. Jarvion Franklin led the rushing game with 163 yards and 3 TDs on 19 carries. Daniel Braverman led the wide receivers with 130 yards on 10 receptions.

The Broncos defense allowed 407 yards and 43 points last week.

Idaho lost to UL Monroe 38-31 last week. The Vandals were led by quarterback Matt Linehan with 324 passing yards and 3 TDs he also threw 2 interceptions. Jerrel Brown led the rushing game was 117 yards on 22 carries. Deon Watson and Joshua McCain lead the wide receivers with 191 receiving yards and 3 TDs combined.

Idaho’s defense allowed 534 yards and 38 points last week. In addition, they had 1 interception.

Keys to Western Michigan win

Western Michigan is going to need quarterback Zach Terrell to play a good game and not turn the ball over. In addition, Jarvion Franklin will need to have another outstanding game.

Keys to Idaho win

Idaho is going to need quarterback Matt Linehan to play a great game and not throw any interceptions. Deon Watson and Joshua McCain will need to get open and be a good target for Matt Linehan.

Conclusion

It will be a close game Saturday but Idaho should win. The Vandals quarterback Matt Linehan should have a good game against a week Western Michigan secondary. The Vandals will have to improve their defense as well and force some turnovers.
