In week 5 the Wyoming Cowboys head to Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan to face the 9th ranked Michigan State Spartans. The Cowboys are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS. The Spartans are 2-1 SU and ATS.

The Wyoming Cowboys are coming off a very close win 20-19 against Florida Atlantic last week. Quarterback Colby Kirkegaard who has 819 passing yards and 4 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Shaun Wick leads the rushing game with 404 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 6.1 yards per carry average. Dominic Rufran leads the wide receivers with 291 yards on 17 receptions.

The Cowboys defense allows 23 points per game and 370 yards per game so far this season.

Michigan State is coming off a huge win 73-14 against Eastern Michigan last week. Quarterback Conner Cook who has 711 passing yards and 7 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Jeremy Langford leads the rushing game with 203 yards, 2 touchdowns and a 4.4 yards per carry average. Tony Lippett leads the wide receivers with 345 yards and 5 touchdowns.

The Spartans defense allows 22.3 points per game and 290 yards per game so far this season.

Keys to Wyoming win

Wyoming will have to shut down quarterback Conner Cook. In addition, the Cowboys defense will have to play better than they have been all season, which will not be easy to do.

Keys to Michigan State win

Michigan State just needs to play their game. In addition, they need to get Jeremy Langford involved in the running game a bit more to take some pressure of Cook.
