Abilene Christian at Troy


In week 3 the Abilene Christian Wildcats (1-1 overall) travel to Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama to face the Troy Trojans (0-2 overall) Saturday.

Abilene Christian lost to N Arizona 27-21 last week. The Wildcats were led by quarterback Parker McKenzie who had 165 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also had 1 interception. De’Andre Brown led the rushing attack was 109 yards on 14 carries. In addition, Cade Stone lead the receivers with 50 yards and 1 touchdown on 2 receptions.

Abilene Christian’s defense allowed 448 yards and 27 points last week.

Troy lost to Duke 34-27 last week. Troy was led by Brandon Silvers who had 160 passing yards on 19 completed passes. Brandon Burks led the rushing attack with 52 yards on 11 Carries. Bryan Holmes led the receivers with 61 yards on 2 receptions.

The Trojans defense allowed 452 yards and 34 points last week.

Keys to Abilene Christian win

Abilene Christian is going to need quarterback Parker McKenzie to play a better game and not turn the ball over. In addition, the Wildcats defense needs to improve and force some turnovers.

Keys to Troy win

Troy is going to need QB Brandon Silvers to play better than last week, and if he can do that, it should open up some holes for Brandon Burks to run through.

It will be a close game Saturday. However, with Troy not having a win yet this season they will be more determined to get a win, and for this to happen, Troy is going to need Brandon Silvers to play a great game and lead his team down the field to score points. In, addition, The Trojans defense is going to have to improve quickly and keep Abilene Christian off the field as much as possible.
