Angel Di Maria Future Uncertain

Angel Di MariaCarlo Ancelotti the manager of Real Madrid would not be drawn into a discussion about the future of midfielder Angel Di Maria. The Italian would only confirm that the Argentine is available to play in the Super Cup in Spain on Tuesday for Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid.

Ancelotti admitted he is not sure whether Di Maria wants an exit from Real Madrid, but he is prepared to play the Argentine on winger in the match on Tuesday.

The future of Di Maria has created great speculation during the summer, after Madrid spent over 85 million pounds signing two stars in Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez to bolster their options at midfield.

Manchester United have long been linked for a move for Di Maria and fresh reports out of the media on Monday suggested United was willing to spend as much as 100 million pounds on wages and transfer fees to move Di Maria to northern England.

Ancelotti when asked on Monday about the future of the forward said he did not want to speak about Di Maria’s future before the match on Tuesday since the player was listed as being available to play with his teammates in Tuesday’s first leg at home against Atletico.

Ancelotti would say that the same team would not play in both of the Super Cup legs. One will play on Tuesday and in the next match on Friday, he will make some changes.

In the end, he said he was not sure what Di Maria decided but that he knows the Argentine is training and could help the club in Tuesday’s important match with Atletico.

The Madrid manager said that things such as rumors and speculation would continue until the transfer window closes on August 31 and then things will be clearer and return to some semblance of normal.
