Arizona Cardinals vs New York Giants Preview

In their second game of the regular season, the Arizona Cardinals face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium. The Cardinals took on the San Diego Chargers last Monday in their first game of the season, winning the game 18-17. The Giants faced The Detroit Lions and lost 35-14. The Cardinals’ current record stands at 1-0 and the Giants are 0-1.

The Cardinals pulled off an impressive win in their first game of the regular season. Quarterback Carson Palmer made the most of his opportunities near the end of the game, throwing two touchdown passes in the fourth for the win. If the defense can keep the pressure on the Giants quarterback, the Cardinals can come away with the win.

The Giants have a multitude of problems to solve if they want to win against the Cardinals on Sunday. In their first game of the regular season, the team played poorly in nearly every area of the game. Quarterback Eli Manning needs to get into sync with the rest of the offense so they can make some big plays and get the ball moving down the field. The Giants’ defense needs to improve their pass coverage and close the wide holes that the Lions continuously exploited in their last game.

The Cardinals will be playing on Sunday without CB Eddie Whitley, who has been put on injured reserve due to a foot injury. LB Alex Okafor will be sidelined with an injury to his thigh and DE Frostee Rucker will be sitting out due to a calf injury.

The Giants have been plagued with injuries this season. On Sunday, the team will be playing without DT Markus Kuhn who is out with an ankle injury and T James Brewer, who is out with a back injury. WR Odell Beckham Jr. is also out for the game due to a hamstring injury.

Latest Line – The Cardinals are favored to win by 3.

While the Giants have won three out of the last four matchups with the Cardinals, this week the Cardinals are expected to easily overwhelm the Giants with their superior game play.
