Duke vs Miami Preview


In week 5 the Duke Blue Devils head to Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida to face the Miami Hurricanes Saturday. The Blue Devils are 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS. The Hurricanes are 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS.

Duke is coming off win 47-13 against Tulane last week. Quarterback Anthony Boone who has 876 yards and 7 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Shaun Wilson leads the rushing attack with 404 yards, 4 touchdowns and a crazy 14.4 yards per carry average. Jamison Crowder leads the wide receivers with 296 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Blue Devils defense has been outstanding this season only allowing 11.5 points per game and 353 yards per game through week 4.

Miami is coming off a loss 41-31 last week against the 24th ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers. Quarterback Brad Kaaya who has 1052 passing yards and 10 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Duke Johnson leads the rushing game with 370 yards and a 6.1 yards per carry average. Phillip Dorsett leads the wide receivers with 332 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The Hurricanes defense has allowed 24.8 points per game and 308 yards per game through week 4.

Keys to Duke win

The Blue Devils will need to shut down Duke Johnson. In addition, they will need Anthony Boone to play a great game.

Keys to Miami (FL) win

The Hurricanes will have to shut down Shaun Wilson. In addition, Brad Kaaya will need to continue playing well.

This will be a very close game. However, Brad Kaaya and Duke Johnson will lead Miami to a win. The Hurricanes will improve to 3-2 on the season.
