In week 3 the Georgia Southern Eagles 1-1 overall, will travel to Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 2-0 overall, on Saturday.

Georgia Southern blew out Savannah State 83-9 last week. The Eagles only threw 5 passes split between 2 quarterbacks all game, but completed 4 them for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brandon Thomas and Ean Days were the two leading rushers with a combined 229 rushing yards and 3 TDs. In addition, 8 other players combined for 335 rushing yards and 7 TDs.

The Eagles defense allowed 295 yards and 9 points. In addition, they had 2 fumble recoveries and 1 interception.

Georgia Tech beat Tulane 38-21 last week. The Yellow Jackets did not pass the ball that much either with only 8 attempts completing 3 of them for only 15 yards and 1 interception. Zach Laskey lead the rushing game with 12 carries for 86 yards. In addition, 8 other players combined for 258 yards and 4 TDs.

Georgia Tech’s defense allowed 327 yards and 21 points last week. However, they had 3 interceptions.
