Kansas at Duke


In week 3 the Kansas Jayhawks (1-0 overall) travel to Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, North Carolina to face the Duke Blue Devils (2-0 overall) Saturday.

Kansas beat SE Missouri St last week 34-28. Kansas was led by quarterback Montell Cozart who had 196 passing yards and 3 TDs. In addition, De’Andre Mann had 121 rushing yards on 15 carries. Tony Pierson had 95 yards and 1 TD on 4 catches.

The Jayhawks defense allowed 421 yards and 28 points last week. However, they did have 3 interceptions.

Duke beat Troy last week 34-17. The Blue Devils were led by quarterback Anthony Boone who had 268 passing yards and 1 TD. In addition, Anthony Boone also led the Blue Devils in rushing with 9 carries for 47 yards and 2 TDs. Isaac Blakeney led the wide receivers with 90 yards and 1 TD on 5 catches.

The Blue Devils allowed 396 yards and 17 points last week.

Keys to Kansas win

Kansas is going to need quarterback Montell Cozart to play a great game and not turn the ball over. In addition, De’Andre Mann will also need to play well. The Jayhawks defense needs force some turnovers and not give up easy points.

Keys to Duke win

Duke is going to need quarterback Anthony Boone to play well leading the offense and not throw any interceptions. In addition, the Blue Devils will need Isaac Blakeney to get open and become a scoring threat down field.
