Louisiana-Lafayette at Ole Miss (No. 14)


In week 3 the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (1-1 overall) travel to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi to face the Ole Miss Rebels (2-0 overall) Saturday.

Louisiana-Lafayette got beat pretty bad last week by Louisiana Tech 48-20. They were led by quarterback Terrance Broadway who had 150 yards passing and 1 TD but he did throw 1 interception. Brooks Haack also spent some time under center with 87 yards passing and 1 TD. In addition, Gabe Fuselier led the wide receivers with 52 yards and one TD on 6 receptions.

Louisiana-Lafayette’s defense allowed 533 yards and 48 points last week.

Ole Miss beat up Vanderbilt pretty good last week 41-3. The Rebels were led by Bo Wallace with 320 yards passing and 1 TD. Jaylen Walton led the Rebels with 35 rushing yards and one TD on 8 carries. Evan Engram led the receivers with 112 yards on 7 catches.

Ole Miss’s defense allowed just 167 yards and three points last week. In addition, they had one interception.

Keys to Louisiana-Lafayette win

The Ragin’ Cajuns will need quarterback Terrence Broadway to play well and not turn the ball over. The Ragin’ Cajuns need a running back to step up and help out their quarterback.

Keys to Ole Miss win

Ole Miss is going to need quarterback Bo Wallace to play as good if not better than last week and not turn the ball over. The Rebels need Jaylen Walton to pick up his running game and helped out Wallace in the backfield.

Ole Miss will win Saturday. The Rebels offense will be running all over Louisiana-Lafayette’s defense. In addition, the Rebels defense will hold Louisiana-Lafayette’s offense to a low score.
