Notre Dame (No. 8) vs Syracuse Preview


 The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will travel to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey to face the Syracuse Orange. The Fighting Irish are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. The Orange is 2-1 SU and 1-2 ATS.

Notre Dame is coming off a win 30-14 against Purdue. Quarterback Everett Golson who has 780 passing yards and 7 touchdowns leads the offense this season. Greg Bryant leads the rushing game with 119 yards, 1 touchdown and a 5.4 yards per carry average. William Fuller leads the wide receivers with 119 yards and 1 touchdown.

Notre Dame’s defense has been outstanding this season only allowing 10.3 points per game and 315 yards per game through week 4.

Syracuse is coming off a loss 34-20 against Maryland last week. Quarterback Terrel Hunt who has 488 passing yards and 1 touchdown leads the offense this season. Terrel Hunt also leads the rushing game with 273 yards, 5 touchdowns and a 7.0 yards per carry average. Jarrod West leads the wide receivers with 133 yards on 8 receptions.

The Orange’s defense has allowed 21 points per game and 325 yards per game through week 4.

Keys to Notre Dame win

Notre Dame will need to shut down dual threat quarterback Terrel Hunt. In addition, they will need Greg Bryant to get a bit more involved in the backfield.

Keys to Syracuse win

Syracuse will need to shut down quarterback Everett Golson. In addition, they will need Terrel Hunt to play a great game.
