Purdue at Notre Dame (No. 11)


In week 3 The Purdue Boilermakers (1-1 overall) travel to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana to face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-0 overall) Saturday.

Purdue lost to Central Michigan last week 38-17. Danny Etling led the Boilermakers with 126 passing yards on 17 completed passes. He also threw 2 interceptions. Danny Etling also led the rushing game with 53 yards and one TD. However, Raheem Mostert led the team in touches with 19 carries and 53 yards. Dolapo Macarthy led the wide receivers with 33 yards on 3 receptions.

The Boilermakers defense allowed 333 yards and 38 points last week. In addition, they had one interception.

Notre Dame won their big rivalry against Michigan last week 31-0. The Fighting Irish were led by Everett Golson who had 226 passing yards and 3 TDs. In addition, Cam McDaniel led the rushing game with 8 carries for 25 yards and 1 TD. William Fuller led the wide receivers with 9 receptions for 89 yards and 1 TD.

The Fighting Irish’s defense allowed 289 yards and 0 points. In addition, they had 1 fumble recovery and 3 interceptions.

Keys to Purdue win

Purdue is going to need quarterback Danny Etling to play a great game and not turn the ball over. In addition, Raheem Mostert needs to run the ball better this week and help Danny Etling in the backfield.

Keys to Notre Dame win

Notre Dame has an easy matchup this week but Everett Golson needs to play a good game and not turn the ball over. In addition, the Fighting Irish’s defense needs to continue their great play.

Notre Dame should win easily Saturday against a weak Purdue team. Golson will pass the ball and the offensive line should open a couple sizable holes for Cam McDaniel.
